We are delighted to announce the first of our 🏳️🌈Pride Month 2022🏳️🌈 events!
We will be holding a rainbow-themed food competition as we join Yeovil Town Council in celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee on the 3rd June at Yeovil Recreation Ground. Rainbow cakes, cookies, even savoury dishes; let your imagination and creative ideas run wild.
The Competition
Creations will be judged by our panel of Local Legends on presentation, creativity and taste. We will look at all the entries and choose who will be asked to take part. Then we will contact those people, asking for some more information about their food and the full list of ingredients so that we can compile allergen information. We will have a waiting list in case anyone drops out or doesn’t provide us the information we need, so even if you’re not picked at first you might still get your chance!
On The Day
Having provided us with all the information we need to make this a safe and tasty event, contestants will make their creations in their own kitchens and bring them on the day to our Taste The Rainbow Tent. They don’t have to be made on the day, but bear in mind how long your creation will keep for – we want to receive it at its best! We will match up the creations with all the relevant paperwork and set them up for display. Then we’ll open up the tent and invite people to come and see the all the delicious entries, before our panel of judges start their rounds… They will choose the winners, and award the prizes, and then we will close the tent up again so that we can divide up all the food into portions for everyone to share. That’s right – all the fabulous food is going to be given away for free to those enjoying the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
Entries are now closed! We look forward to seeing you all on the 3rd June.
