The 1st of October marks the beginning of Black History Month here in the UK .
We will be posting every day across all three of our social media channels with different content, so if you don’t already follow us on Twitter and Instagram make sure you look us up.
On Facebook we have decided to share our favourite black artists, musicians and actors. The arts have been undermined, underfunded and undervalued over the course of the pandemic, and the contributions of black people to the arts are often treated the same.
On Instagram we are sharing quotes from influential black people, amplifying their voices and sharing wisdom and thoughts about the world we share and how we treat one another.
And on our Twitter we are sharing charities that either help to support and enrich black lives, or tackle racial inequality and hatred. Please consider making a donation to one of the charities if you are able to do so.
