We had the most wonderful time today helping out and volunteering at Yeovil Together. It was amazing to see so much diversity; to talk to people and share stories, foods and performances from different cultures around the world that are alive here in Yeovil. Our mission at the Yeovil Diversity Project is “encouraging unity in Yeovil’s community” and this event couldn’t have been more up our street. Congratulations to everyone who put in so much hard work behind the scenes, the success of today was well deserved!
We were collecting money for our local foodbank, The Lord’s Larder, and we raised £413.56. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously. One of the most wonderful things about the event was the free sharing of such a wide variety of foods, and giving to a local cause providing food for those in need seemed like the perfect way to give back to the community.
